Some golfers play a lifetime without making a hole-in-one.

cory hebert ace Six-year-old Cory Hebert amazingly needed only two holes to achieve the feat.

The Baldwinsville boy found the cup July 8 on the 55-yard first hole at TigerLinks, the short course at Liverpool Golf & Public Country Club in Liverpool, N.Y.

"I hit my driver, it bounced and rolled in," the soon-to-be first-grader at Baldwinsville's Palmer Elementary said matter-of-factly.

Hole In One Sparks eagle-eagle Blast in Scotland

Britain's Steve Webster let off some last-round fireworks with a thrilling birdie-par-eagle-eagle sequence in the Scottish Open on Sunday. The 34-year-old Englishman, winner of the 2005 Italian Open and 2007 Portugal Masters, registered a hole-in-one when a seven-iron effort rolled into the cup at the 193-yard, par-three fifth.

Hole In One - Council Bluffs woman records miracle ace

Florence Rogers says there is only one way to describe her recent hole in one. "That was a miracle", the 72 year old Council Bluffs resident said. "I'm not that good of a golfer". Rogers sank her ace o n the 125 yard #2 hole at Miller Park. Witnesses Cathy Tauke and Alice Lammert told Rogers that they thought the ball had rolled in.

Minehead Golf Club member Andy Dahl wrote his name clearly in the club's record books with his second hole in one this year on the 159 yard par three tenth hole. In fact, it was Andy's third hole in one on this hole and the seventh hole in one he has achieved since becoming a member of Minehead in 1980.

Hole In One - Long Time Coming

His golf ball just "disappeared" on June 4 at the 15th hole at Foxtail's North Course, as Mike Harrow remembered it. Of course, he was immediately startled. Golf balls just don't disappear on green, unless for one very spectacular but impossible reason. Very few have witnessed it.

"Ace" Pollard notches hole in one during Cyclone outing

The fellowship on the McDermott deck Monday night was directly related to Iowa State athletic director Jamie Pollard's new nickname. They're calling him Ace around campus Tuesday after Pollard got a hole-in-one Monday afternoon on the Par 3, third hole at the Ames Golf and Country Club during a Cyclone Club outing.

No Jokers, Just Back to Back Aces.

Tim Oskin figured it was just playing partner Joseph Russo indulging his love of pranks. Because, really, how often do two golfers get back-to-back aces on the same hole? Once in every 26 million swings, according to a golf-outing insurer. ''Joe is the best practical-joke guy around,'' said Oskin of Hellertown. ''I told him, 'Joe, there's no way two balls can go into a hole like that.' When we got to the green, I was in complete disbelief.''
