My First Ace:

celberity golf appearance I'm 39 yrs old with a registered 13 handicap from the blue tees. I went out golfing with my brother Tim as we usually do every Thursday to Coaldale Land O Lakes golf course just 10KM outside of our home here in Lethbridge Alberta. The weather was beautiful with a slight breeze blowing from the west. We started at 8:00am on a shotgun start on hole number 6 and were joined by a friend (Ken) of my brothers which made us a threesome. By the time we got around to Hole number 3 which is a par 3 140 yds from the blue tee box I was having a pretty good round. This hole plays west back into a breeze and the green runs back to front with a fair grade. I thought I would just hit a 7 iron and get it on the green play it safe take par and carry on. I teed it up, nice easy backswing, and hit my shot. I hit it straight at the pin and it was looking real good right on line. I saw it hit the green right by the cup and the ball disappeared. Well I yelled and did the old fist pumping action cause I new it went into the cup. I then high fived my playing partners and it was off to the next hole. I had a grin as big as a bunker for the next few holes. It was a memorable day that I will never forget. Finished with a 78.

A Very Happy Easter:

This was on Easter Sunday and on a mandatory wave-up hole. There were people eating brunch and they all got quiet when we were teeing off. This was also a water hole so I decided to put my Callaway ball in my pocket and hit a Nike ball. As I addressed the ball, my friend Bill informed me that I was aiming slightly to the right. I made a small adjustment and took a deep breath and let it rip. It was one of the straightest drives I've ever hit. I thought it was only going to be a good drive and it hit about a foot behind the hole and spun backward and went in. This had to happen in front of Bill and Marty my two golf buddies. I wouldn't trade this for a round with Tiger!

California Ace:

I got number 2 and 3 on Feb. 3, 1999 at Kings Country Club, Hanford, California. Our club was pretty empty this Sunday as alot of our members work the Crosby/ATT up at Pebble Beach. I watched Ken Venturi analyse Jack Lemmons swing on Saturday. I thought lets go out and just work on rhythm and smooth take aways. Well it must have worked. Hole number four was playing about 205 from the blues and I chose a 2 iron. I hit pretty well, the pin was back right and the ball hit on the very front and rolled 35 feet into the hole. Three holes later I was standing on number 7, it was playing about 173 yards and I chose a 5 iron. I had started to learn how to draw the ball, so I started my shot out to the right and it started to draw toward the hole. It hit on the green, bounced left and rolled about 5 feet into the hole. My two playing partners and I was waiting for the lightning to strike. It was an unbelievable day in Hanford.
